The Oklahoma Rifle Association Supports SB 1476
On Monday, February 5, SB 1476, providing a state sales tax expemption on firearm safety devices won committee approval at the first legislative session for 2024. This bill was authored by Senator Jo Anna Dossett, D-Tulsa, with the help of the Oklahoma Rifle Association in her interim study last fall.
“This is a victory for the firearm community in putting together bi-partisan legislation that all know and agree makes for safe communities. I’m honored that Senator Dossett approached the ORA for our help and support and we look forward to working with her on future legislation that impact’s Oklahoma’s firearm community. Once again this shows how Oklahoma is leading the way,” said ORA President, Mark Vaughan.
