This Week’s Legislative Update
Thursday was a major deadline day for bills in the opposite house of origin to be out of committee. Those not making it will be dormant (dead) until next year. The House bills in the Senate that passed out of committee have until May 8th to be heard on the Senate floor.
The Senate bills in the House have the same deadline.
NRA Annual Meetings in Atlanta
Right now, the NRA is holding its annual meetings in Atlanta including committee and board meetings for NRA leadership. This means that ORA President, Mark Vaughan, has been there this week working towards the future of the NRA and subsequently the future of the ORA. Stay tuned for Mark’s updates when he returns next week!

NRA National High Power Mid-Range Championship in OKC
This year the NRA is taking the National Championships to clubs across the nation! Oklahoma City Gun Club was one of the selected clubs and will be hosting the Midrange Highpower Match on June 4-8.
